What To Register For

We know that some people (in our lives at least) don’t like to buy off of registries. The boxes of un-needed and un-wanted home goods we donated right after our wedding is testament to that. We also watched my sister-in-law receive duplicates and triplicates of baby stuff she already owned at her baby showers. Everyone wants to give that special blanket that becomes “blankie”. However, our hope is that if we give our baby shower guests enough option, most will be able to find something on our list that feels personal for them to give.

We looked at endless online lists of what you need for baby, asked friends for their favourite items, and tried to think ahead to what we would need in our house in particular. Once we were happy with our first attempt at a registry, we sent it around to our friends and family who recently had babies and asked them to give us feedback. What we ended up with is below.

We also threw a baby gate and a bumbo floor seat on the list, but I didn’t know what category to stick them in. I hope this list can be helpful to anyone looking to create or pad their registry! Here’s to not getting a lot of crap we don’t need, and getting all the useful crap we really want!
